Dear lord, I love the internet, it must never leave me again

Here in my new college digs, I have been internet-less. This has been a travesty of monumental propotions. However I have corrected this injustice by purchasing myself and ethernet cord (sadly no wi-fi for me) and I'm back on track. Expect a review tomorrow. Keep calm and carry on!

In and Out 2

Hey there! I'm super busy packing for school (aka moving 3000 miles across the US) so I broke my once a week promise already :( sorry! BUT I am going to post an In and Out post. So without further rambling here we go.
In and Out
IN
NYC- yes you read right, I'm moving to the big bad apple, and I'm ridiculously excited. It's nerve-wracking to be moving somewhere so different and so far away from the only place I've ever lived but it's New York! And I love that city.

True Blood- Oh Eric, when will you and Sookie just get together already, or if you get tired of her, I am totally open to your Viking hotness ;)

Vichy Dermablend- no words for this other than AH-MAZING. Seriously this stuff is fantastico, and I don't often use that word (actually I've never used it before). I've been using the concealer and foundation for over a week now and let me tell you this stuff covers like nobody's business. I've been using it in 15 Opal which will be a bit too dark for me in the winter but I can get 10 Porcelain from their website. I got mine in CVS and the foundation was $28 and the concealer was $18, but I had CVS coupons. I know it's a bit expensive for something from a drugstore but for a heavy coverage foundation that doesn't look the least bit mask-like I think it's worth it. I'll do a full review on this soon

OUT
Packing- As excited as I am to be going to school, packing is a bit of a pain in the ass. Seriously I have so much clothing that this has taken me over a week to do.

Burning my tongue- So this is a random one, but I burnt my tongue eating last night and it still hurts. OW!

Missing my cats- Gonna miss snuggling with my kitties. Enough said

So that's my In and Outs of the moment. Tell me yours in the comments!

NARS Fall 2010

Good god, look at that ridiculously gorgeous promo image...

Now I know I'm a bit late blogging about this, but hey, I've just gotten back into the swing of things, be gentle. Now as to the actual subject of this post... I've picked up exactly one thing from the NARS Fall 2010 collection, and I've picked up 4 of them. That would be the ridiculously gorgeous Rouge Basque. It's love. I have fallen so hard for this lipstick that I'm contemplating conducting a one-woman protest outside of Francois Nars' house/appartment. It's serious. THIS IS NOT PUPPY LOVE MOM! Daphne Guinness is wearing Rouge Basque as a stain in the promo image, but I like to apply it full. GORGEOUS! In my recent youtube haul video (the last part of the 3 parter) I'm wearing Rouge Basque and mention how much I love it

Obligatory swatches

Top- thickly aplied, Bottom- sheer stain

On the lips!

I applied it on my lips somewhere between the stain swatch and the thick swatch. I think it's such a gorgeous color for fall. Love it! It goes on smoothly as all NARS lipsticks do though it does cling to the dry bits I have on my lips at the moment, should have exfoliated them before doing the swatches! Hope you enjoyed the post, let me know if you have or will pick anything up from this NARS collection

who the hell is this? (aka in and out 1)

That's probably what you're saying as this post comes up on your newsfeed, so if you're one of those five, hello there! *waves*
I have no real excuse for neglecting this blog as well as those kind enough to read my inane and sporadic ramblings. I have after all, been making videos. Perhaps I find it easier to ramble into my macbook than to type things out. Regardless I get so much enjoyment from reading other peoples blogs that I feel guilty neglecting my own. Especially since I love writing. Honestly the more I type the more ridiculous my neglect seems. I now vow to update at least once a week. I'll work up to more posts from there. Additionally I'll be going to college in the fall so that should be a manageable amount, but I'm betting I'll want to blog more what with all the opportunities available in NYC. So without further ado, In and Out #1!

IN
Denmark- If you watch my youtube channel you'll know I stayed with a friend in Denmark for a month. I loved it so much there and met so many amazing people. I can't wait to go back. Also it was very inspiring style-wise, so many new ideas to experiement with!

Feeling more comfortable in my own skin- I've always been painfully insecure but I'm getting much at appreciating my own attributes and accepting my flaws. Just in time to meet new people, eh?

Clarisonic- ah yes, a more superficial in. I LOVE THIS. While my skin is not completely clear and I didn't bring this to Denmark (didn't want to lose it) it has improved in both clarity and tone. Monthly updates will be a feature on my blog.

New lip colors- I find I'm the opposite of a lot of people in that I automatically gravitate towards red lipstick and feel weird wearing a more subtle lip color. Well, I've been experimenting with more neutral colors and I quite like them.

OUT
Not updating the blog- I think we covered that at the top ;)

Summer ending- I've loved lazing about and seeing my friends this summer, back to (school) work soon!

Summer clothes- I miss wearing pants haha

That's it! my first post in months. Getting back in the swing of things. I would love to hear from all of you what your Ins and Outs are.

Take care!

Wishlist Item Achived!

I got one of the items on my wishlist! Care to guess which?
Surprisingly I got the one I LEAST expected to get. I definitely expected to have to wait for this one.
What is it?
A Clarisonic PRO!
Let me back up and tell you how this happened.
My mom and I had a dermatologist appointment today and they had brochures for the Clarisonic in the waiting room. I picked one up and started talking to my mom about how much I really wanted one. She responded with "Let's ask the doctor if he thinks it would be good for your skin". When we went in I asked about it and he told us that its amazing and would be really beneficial to my skin. My birthday is thursday so my mom got this for me as a birthday present. I'm so excited and I'll be giving you weekly updates as to how my skin feels!
Picture Time!:

The box:

What comes in the set I got:
Clarisonic brush/ electronic device
body brush (for back, chest ect)
4 different cleansers

The cleansers:

Brush head for the body

What makes this set a pro set is that I get the body brush head, 4 different speed settings on the device ad the multiple cleansers. I'm not really sure what's in the other sets but I know the Clarisonic MIA that I wanted only has one speed setting.  Clarisonics are available at dermatologists offices and Sephora. I think ULTA has them too.

Ideal Make-up

I was thinking the other day about how when I apply make-up I generally am not too risky. I use different combinations of products that are basically the same in order to achieve a specific look. Then I went to look at the new posts on Temptalia and I saw THIS

This is exactly what I try so hard every day to get my make-up to look like. Now maybe I'm being unrealistic, I obviously cannot look like this model, she has fabulous bone structure, me not so much. But I love the classic old-style glamourous red-lip and all beauty. I'll post pictures later of my attempts to do this look.
I. Will. Master. It.
Tell me, are there any promo images that have made you feel like this?
